Turn recordings into clear, searchable text while keeping your media on your PC. Whisper NPU Transcriber is a Windows desktop application for private, offline transcription of Czech and English audio and video. Its bundled AI models process files locally, so recordings and transcripts are not uploaded to iHypnosis or a publisher-operated cloud service.

Choose a Fast, accurate CPU for a strong everyday balance of speed and quality, a Best accuracy CPU for difficult recordings, or an OpenVINO mode for compatible Intel hardware. Intel NPU acceleration is optional; reliable CPU modes are included for systems without a supported NPU.

Create timestamped and plain-text transcripts plus SRT, VTT, and JSON files. Voice activity detection can skip silence, optional audio enhancement can help with noisy recordings, and conservative text correction can improve common spelling and formatting issues.

An optional local-network receiver lets you transfer recordings from the Android companion device on a trusted private network and automatically begin transcription. Local-network transfer is not end-to-end encrypted and can be disabled when not required.

Automatic speech recognition can make mistakes, especially with poor audio, overlapping speakers, names, numbers, or specialist terminology. Review important transcripts against the original recording.
